On September 21, Professor Rosalind Archer, Head of the Faculty of Engineering, Information and Technology at Griffith University in Australia, and Zhang Dan, General Manager for Greater China, visited the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, China University of Mining and Technology. They held a special project meeting for freshmen of the 2026 Civil Engineering (Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education) Program. Relevant administrators from the school’s Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Office attended the event, which was hosted by Zhang Dan.

Professor Rosalind Archer gave a systematic introduction to Griffith University’s educational philosophy and disciplinary strengths. She highlighted the comprehensive support system for international students at Griffith University, covering academic tutoring and daily-life assistance, and clearly outlined the complete pathway of domestic study, overseas further education and dualdegree acquisition. During the Q&A session, freshmen raised active questions concerning curriculum articulation, career prospects and overseas campus life, all of which were answered in detail by Zhang Dan.

This meeting built a communication bridge between Chinese and foreign universities and new students.
