Civil Engineering

ProjectOverview
China University of Mining and Technology and Griffith University Australia jointly offer undergraduate education in civil engineering based on the Civil Engineering Program of the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of our university and the Civil Engineering Program of the School of Engineering of Griffith University.
The program was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2011 (Program Number: MOE32AU2A20111179N)
Honorary Title
In 2018, it was selected as Jiangsu Province’s high-level Demonstration Construction Project for Sino-foreign cooperative education.
In 2020, it was approved as Jiangsu Province’s high-level Demonstration Construction Project for Sino-foreign cooperative education.
Training Model
This project adopts a “3+1” training model and introduces high-quality educational resources from Griffith University in Australia.
Training Objective
The project aims to cultivate high-quality, compound international talents with a solid foundation in mathematics and physics, relevant knowledge in humanities and management sciences, strong innovative awareness and practical ability, and mastery of international cutting-edge scientific knowledge. These talents can engage in scientific research and development, engineering design, experimental analysis and organizational management in the related fields of civil engineering.
Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering

Project Overview
The undergraduate program in Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering, jointly offered by China University of Mining and Technology and RMIT University, Australia, is based on the Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering program of the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of our university and the Construction Management program of RMIT University.
The program was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2012 (Program Number: MOE32AU2A20121228N)
Honorary Title
In 2016, it was recognized as a cultivation point for the high-level Demonstration Construction Project of Sino-foreign cooperative education in Jiangsu Province.
In 2018, it successfully passed the mid-term assessment of the cultivation point for the high-level Demonstration Construction Project of Sino-foreign cooperative education in Jiangsu Province.
In September 2020, it passed the acceptance work of the provincial education department and was rated as a high-level Demonstration Construction Project of Sino-foreign cooperative education in Jiangsu Province.
Training Model
This project adopts the “4+0” model,leveragingthe professional and disciplinary advantages of both Chinese and foreigninstitutionsand introducing the advanced educational concepts and high-quality educational resources of RMIT University in Australia.
Training Objective
This project combines the strengths of both Chinese and foreigninstitutions to form a compound international talent cultivation model that emphasizes both engineering theoretical knowledge, engineering practice and management ability. Graduates are competent for technical and management work in fields such as environmental control of industrial, civil buildings and building energy conservation technology at home and abroad.
