To thoroughly implement the requirements of comprehensive and strict governance over the Party and further strengthen the sense of responsibility and mission of student Party members, on the evening of May 13th at 7:00 p.m., the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering held a "Deployment Meeting for Student Party Members to Thoroughly Implement the Spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulation and a Special Party Class" in the A108 Lecture Hall. Ji Cheng, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college, full-time counselors Chen Zhongwei and Xu Haichao, as well as all the undergraduate student Party members and the postgraduate student branch committee members participated in this activity.

To deepen the effectiveness of learning and education, the meeting made arrangements for the grid optimization and upgrading work of the Student Community Party Working Committee of Taosan Floor and the Party Member Workstation of Taosan Floor. The college will reform the "grid-based management mechanism for Student Party Members on the Third Floor of Tao", taking the Party branch as the fortress and Party members as the link, dividing responsibility areas, detailing service lists, promoting the 下沉 of Party building forces to the front line of the student community, and forming a new pattern of grassroots governance where "problems are discovered in the grid, services are carried out in the grid, and roles are exerted in the grid". Ji Cheng pointed out that the grid-based management of Party members is an innovative practice of Party building leading grassroots governance. Student Party members should set a good example, proactively reveal their identities and do practical things. They should take identifying "students in difficulty" and promptly solving "students' difficulties" as their behavioral norms, and effectively bridge the "last mile" in serving students.

Xu Haichao read out the "Notice on Organizing Student Party Members to Self-examine and Identify Problems", requiring all student Party members to conduct in-depth self-examination and self-correction in light of the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulation, and in combination with their own ideological, life, study, research and work realities. The focus should be on identifying problems in terms of political stance, Party member identity, discipline and style, and service awareness, and clarifying the direction for rectification. Give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members.

After the meeting, Ji Cheng gave a special Party lesson titled "The Rights and Obligations of Party Members" to all the student Party members. The Party class was carried out from four dimensions: "The conditions for applying to join the Party", "The eight obligations of a Party member", "The eight rights of a Party member", and "How to be a qualified Party member". By combining typical cases with the actual situation of the college, as well as political theory with real life, it deeply expounded the connotation and practical requirements of the rights and obligations of Party members, enabling everyone to have a more vivid understanding and comprehension of the Party's theories. Ji Cheng emphasized that student Party members should always keep their identity in mind, take the Party Constitution as the fundamental guideline, temper their Party spirit in theoretical study, practice their purpose in serving the people, demonstrate their sense of responsibility in overcoming difficulties, and truly achieve "the integration of learning, thinking and application, and the unity of knowledge, belief and action".

This learning and education activity is an important measure taken by the college to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulation and fulfill the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent. Through special Party classes and mobilization and deployment, the discipline awareness and purpose awareness of student Party members have been further strengthened, laying a solid foundation for promoting the in-depth development of comprehensive and strict governance of the Party and enhancing the efficiency of grassroots Party building.
