On April 19th, the 13th Engineering Management Professional Exchange Activity of Universities in the Yangtze River Delta Region and the Symposium on the Construction of First-Class Engineering Management Majors were successfully held at the Xinzhuang Campus of Nanjing Forestry University. Representatives of teachers and students majoring in engineering management from nine universities in the Yangtze River Delta region, including Southeast University, Nanjing Forestry University, China University of Mining and Technology, Hohai University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and Nanjing Agricultural University, participated in this exchange activity. Director Qiao Yaning of the Institute of Engineering Management of our college led the teachers to participate in this activity.

During the seminar on the construction of first-class engineering management programs, teachers from various universities introduced their new ideas, practices and models in the construction of engineering management programs. Qiao Yaning delivered a keynote speech titled "Teaching and Training Model of 'Civil Engineering +' Innovative Practice Team Based on Interdisciplinary Integration and School-Enterprise Integration", introducing that in the current development environment of interdisciplinary integration in the civil engineering industry, the engineering management major integrates multi-disciplinary knowledge graphs to establish a cross-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary teaching and training model.

During the symposium, the award ceremony for the 12th Jiangsu Province College Students' Engineering Management Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Practice Competition and the 10th Jiangsu Province Engineering Management Young Teachers' Lecture Competition was held. In terms of innovation, entrepreneurship and practical competitions, the teams of teachers and students from our college performed outstandingly, winning 2 first prizes in the paper category, 2 third prizes in the research report category, 1 first prize in the intelligent design category, and 2 third prizes in the invention and entrepreneurship category. In the lecture competition, Associate Professor Gu Tiantian from our college won the second prize in Project Management and Contract Management of Engineering (Group A), fully demonstrating the strength of our college in teaching level and talent cultivation.

This symposium aims to build a collaborative development platform for engineering management majors in universities in the Yangtze River Delta region. The successful holding of the conference has demonstrated the proactive efforts and broad prospects of universities in the Yangtze River Delta region in promoting the high-quality development of engineering management programs. It has broadened the channels for disciplinary development and exchanges among engineering management programs in various universities, laying a solid foundation for future teaching reforms, talent cultivation, and scientific research cooperation.
