To enhance the educational capabilities of the head teacher team and deepen the effectiveness of all-staff education, on the afternoon of May 14th at 14:30, the college held the "Concrete Heart Building, Power Building for the Future - 2024 Grade Head Teachers' Educational Experience Empowerment Salon" in Room B201 of the Party Working Committee of Taosan Student Community. The Party Secretary of the college, Ma Zhanguo, the Deputy Party Secretary, Ji Cheng, the Executive Deputy Director of the Care for the Next Generation Working Committee, Zhou Gang, all the class advisors of the 2024 grade, the outstanding class advisors of the 2022 grade, Zhu Yuxiao and Yan Xiaofei, as well as the full-time counselors Xu Haichao and Xie Han attended this event.

Ma Zhanguo, the Party Secretary of the college, delivered a speech on the current situation of professional development and the goals of talent cultivation. He pointed out that in the face of real challenges such as changes in the industry environment and students' major changes, as the "guides" for students' growth and success, class teachers need to give full play to the characteristic advantages of their disciplines, deeply integrate professional education with ideological and political education, guide students to cultivate a deep sense of patriotism, temper an innovative spirit, and enhance practical abilities, and cultivate civil engineering elites who can meet the needs of The Times. He emphasized that the work of a head teacher should "go deep and integrate", and through daily care and professional guidance, lay a solid foundation for students' ideals and beliefs.

Zhou Gang, the executive deputy director of the Committee for Concerning the Next Generation, based on his years of experience in nurturing students, shared typical cases such as class system construction, academic atmosphere guidance, and career planning, with the concept of "all-round education" as the main thread. He said that the head teacher should regulate the class atmosphere with systems, drive the study atmosphere with role models, and clarify the direction with plans. In particular, they should pay attention to the individualized needs of students and provide precise assistance through "one student, one policy" to help students grow and succeed. Zhou Gang also expounded on the significance of the head teacher's intervention and guidance at key nodes through vivid stories of students' growth, providing a practical path for the teachers present to draw upon.

Finally, Ji Cheng, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college, based on the actual situation of student work, put forward the "Four Haves" requirements for the work of class advisors: First, "Have love in your heart", care for students with a kind heart, and be a trusted confidants of students; Second, "have a sense of responsibility in your heart", adhere to the mission of educating people, strictly abide by the norms of professional ethics with a responsible attitude, and take the initiative to shoulder the important responsibility of guiding students' values. Third, be "well-informed", accurately grasp the class dynamics, and promptly resolve potential problems. Fourth, "have strategies in mind", innovate working methods, and enhance the effectiveness of education. He called on head teachers and counselors to work closely together, form a joint force for education, and safeguard the all-round development of students.

This salon has provided new ideas and methods for educational work. In the future, we will devote ourselves to student cultivation with greater enthusiasm and contribute to the high-quality development of the college.
